Once you begin treatment, within about eight to twelve weeks (with two therapy sessions a week) you'll begin to see the beginning stages of hair restoration.

When your hair has been fully restored, you'll continue with one session every six weeks to maintain your hair growth. For a small percentage of clients who complete a successful consultation, this laser hair therapy may not be successful. So, if after twelve weeks (with a commitment of two sessions per week), you do not see the beginning stages of your hair restoration, we will refund 100% of your money for the first 24 sessions.

Things to know about the technology
Our hair restoration unit contains more than 30 low-level laser diodes, each of which can be programmed to put forth different colors and pulsations of light depending upon your specific hair loss pattern.

When these gentle lights are applied to the scalp regularly, they activate various proteins in the cells causing micro-electrical stimulation of each cell as a whole. This process frees the follicles from chemical blockage, and increases the respiration of and blood flow to individual cells, thus ensuring that nutrients are delivered to the source of the hair follicle.

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for hair is acknowledged by the FDA as a non-invasive technology employing low-level lasers below the power levels specified by FDA regulation.

The lasers in the hair restoration unit used at SALON by milk + honey comply with all FDA standards, regulations and guidelines.

There are no drugs or chemicals or invasive surgeries involved, and therefore, no recovery time.

Things to know about the program
During your initial hair and scalp consultation, your individual hair loss pattern will be assessed and then applied to a specific program in the hair restoration unit.

Your personalized program allows each laser diode to pinpoint the exact follicles on your scalp that need cellular stimulation.

As your follicles are gradually restored, different pattern settings will be used until your hair is enhanced to your full satisfaction.

Laser hair rejuvenation is effective for many men and women. However, in advanced stages of hair loss, follicle rejuvenation may no longer be an effective option. Individual results will vary, and a hair and scalp evaluation will give you a better idea of the likelihood that this treatment will be successful for you.

The laser hair rejuvenation unit enhances hair naturally, and has absolutely no side effects.

In just 20 minutes, two times a week, the light therapy does all the work while you read, listen to music, or just sit back and relax.

The recommended time between sessions is at least 72 hours. During the first eight to twelve weeks, no more than 96 hours may pass between sessions. Coming in for sessions on Mondays and Thursdays, for example, leaves just the right amount of time for the treatments to be most effective. SALON by milk + honey is Mon- Saturday from 8am-8m and Sundays from 12p-5pm so it's easy to schedule session times that fit your schedule.

As a general rule, one week of missed sessions requires two weeks of additional sessions. So if you go on vacation, for example, and two weeks of sessions are missed, four weeks of additional sessions may be required.

In about eight weeks, you’ll begin to see results of the hair follicle rejuvenation. You should see a fine, downy re-growth (or ‘fuzz’) that will, upon closer examination, come from empty follicles on the scalp. From that point on and over the next two to four months, your hair will continue to gain a fuller, thicker look and feel.

Once your hair reaches the full enhancement you desire, you'll only need to come in once every six weeks for a 30-minute maintenance session.

Things to know about the finances
3- or 5-month installment plans are available. If you are interested in the discounted packages but would prefer not to pay in full up front, milk + honey can keep your credit card information securely on file and charge your account $550 once a month for a total of 24 (3 month) or 40 (5 month) sessions. We want to make it easy for you to benefit from our package discounts, and with our monthly installment plans you won't have to check out every time you come in. You can quickly swing in and out each time, and we'll take care of the rest.

If your hair enhancement is unsuccessful, you may be reimbursed the amount paid for your first 24 LHRT sessions if: 1. You have received 24 full treatments within the first thirteen weeks of your first treatment session, and 2. None of your first 24 sessions are less than 72 hours or greater than 96 hours apart. You may be reimbursed for a maximum of 24 sessions, even if you receive more sessions during your first seven weeks of treatment. You will have one week after the 24th session to notify SALON by milk + honey, in writing, of your desire for reimbursement. Notice by email (to concierge@milkandhoneysalon.com) is acceptable. Upon the expiration of one week from the 24th session, you are ineligible for any reimbursement. You may not continue treatment after requesting reimbursement.

Things to know about contraindications
You are not a good candidate for LHRT if:

• You have a condition that renders your eyes vulnerable to photo-toxicity (sensitivity to light).
• You have a tendency toward mania.
• You have a photosensitive skin condition.
• You are taking a photo-sensitizing herb (such as St John’s Wort) or a medication that causes photo-sensitivity (such as Methotrexate or Chloroquine).
• You have been diagnosed with photosensitive epilepsy (PSE).
• You are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or lactating.

If you have concerns about medical conditions you may have that are not listed above, you should discuss LHRT with your Primary Care Physician before you begin treatment.
